Where every donation goes

Trust is the most important thing on a site like this. Without it, none of the rest works. So here is exactly what your donations fund and how we are keeping things straight.

The total target is around 26,000 EUR. Here is the breakdown.

A reliable 4×4 vehicle. Roughly 14,000 EUR. This is by far the largest line item. Patrick needs a vehicle that can handle daily desert driving without breaking down halfway through a tour. Used Land Cruisers in Namibia, in good condition, with the right modifications, sit in this range.

Operating permits and tourism licenses. Around 1,200 EUR. Already secured. This was Patrick’s first investment from his own savings, and we have reimbursed it from the first donations received.

Local network and equipment. Around 4,000 EUR. Camping gear, recovery equipment, satellite communication, basic catering kit, GPS, first-aid supplies. The boring but essential stuff.

Marketing and booking site. Around 3,500 EUR. A proper website, professional photos of his routes, a small budget for paid ads to attract the first international clients during the inaugural season.

A six-month buffer. Around 3,500 EUR. Tourism is seasonal. Patrick’s first months will be lean. This buffer keeps him from having to take side work that would distract from building the business.

100% of every donation goes to Patrick. Payment processing fees aside, nothing is held back for us. We pay for the website, the domain, and our time out of pocket. We are not earning anything from this and we are not planning to.

Each month from now on, you will receive a short update detailing what was bought, what was spent, and what comes next. No spreadsheets. Just plain language.

That is it. No middlemen. No surprises.
